While at the UH SBDC, one of the most pressing goals for the marketing and communications team was to grow our presence on our social media channels. This involves not only posting more, but posting brand-identifiable content that was concise and had an attractive aesthetic.
Using Adobe InDesign, I created over 400 graphics for social media, specifically promoting daily webinars and paid events. These graphics shared common design themes to create a professional and cohesive design throughout the company’s Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn profiles. I also created versions of these graphics sized for IG Stories, along with animations and music for each post.
These graphics were batch-scheduled by myself and the Communications Assistant to the company’s social media channels daily with Hootsuite.
Ultimately, I created multiple templates for different types of events, so other members of the team could populate the templates while I focused on other design work. These graphics became the foundation of shareable content for the company online, and the company’s IG page grew about 450 followers during the length of my contract.
